The article, titled <em>&#8220;<strong>Reframing Water Management from the Lake\u2019s Perspective: Lessons Learnt on Lake Garda<\/strong>&#8220;<\/em> delves into the critical role lakes play in water management and their broader ecological and environmental impacts.<\/p>\n<p>Lakes, such as <strong>Lake Garda<\/strong>, disrupt the continuity of catchments by decoupling the upstream and downstream fluxes of water quantity and quality. They act as complex systems where physical, geochemical, ecological processes, and human activities intertwine\u2014often obscured by the lakes\u2019 extended residence times.
