Welcome to the SARLAKES Project Team<\/strong><\/em> page! Our group of researchers brings together expertise from a wide range of disciplines, including physical limnology<\/strong><\/em>, i<\/strong>nland water remote sensing<\/strong><\/em>, atmospheric physics<\/strong><\/em>, and hydrology<\/em><\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>

Collaborating across these diverse fields allows us to take a comprehensive approach to studying and addressing the challenges related to lake ecosystems and their interactions with surrounding environments. Our team includes scientists from various Italian Universities and CNR Research Institute, with backgrounds in engineering, ecology, remote sensing, and physics. Ali Farrokhi graduated with a master of science in Environmental Engineering (University of Trento). He expanded his thesis study by working as a researcher in the SQUAS project which mainly involves water quality data reconstruction in inland water, utilizing remote sensing data.\u00a0<\/div> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

 \r\nElectronic Engineer (University of Naples \u201cFederico II\u201d), is a research director at CNR-IREA in Naples. He has more than 30 years of experience in remote sensing, specifically high resolution imaging with SAR for the monitoring of the Earth surface. Since 2017, he is IEEE Fellow.<\/div> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

His research interests cover different areas of environmental fluid mechanics, with a special focus on physical limnology. He is the head of the Physical Limnology Laboratory (PhyLL) of the University of Trento.<\/div> <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
